About Front Door Fashion
Front Door Fashion is the personal styling service you've been promised, but never actually experienced. Instead of receiving random pieces, you'll get completely styled outfits. Plus, your stylist will send notes on how to wear them multiple ways. Keep only the items you love – there are no obligations.
Front Door Fashion Review
Front Door Fashion Spring Box Review – So when I placed the order for a Spring Front Door Fashion box I was SUPER excited. Receiving the big box is super exciting too. When I opened the box I loved the clothes and the quality I saw but was not quite so happy with the style. I requested a box for Nights Out with my husband, some sexy looks, some business trendy outfits for evenings out for work events and overall just a classier, less casual look. When I was submitting my initial order their website messed up a few times and I couldn't tell if my order went through or if my style requests were being saved so I e-mailed them and they quickly responded letting me know that they have it taken care of.
Some Background – I have had the same stylist Erika E. for a while now but she
is was (updated to reflect Erika isn't there any more) a top dog over there and is very talented and I am aware that my budget is quite limited right now so I didn't request her but rather said team me with the stylist you think is best. This is where I met Brittany. Her communication was excellent and she styled everything & had it shipped amazingly fast. She even text me to check in on things. A+++ customer service like aways.
Front Door Fashion Spring Box Review – I received 5 themed looks with about 11 outfits inside with a total of 19 items for a total of $2,080.00 This makes the average item $109.47 which is high for my very limited budget right now so I must admit, it immediately made me turn off. Instead of being excited and easily swayed to fall in love, I saw the box as 1) Not matching my request for night out clothing and 2) a Price Point much higher than I could spend. Some of the outfits I liked, a couple I loved and others were so off the mark that I didn't even take photos in them because I felt too silly to go out in public to take a photo. Here are a few to share with you all:
the Aftershock Tribal Jumper in size Small at $78 – this piece did align with my request and Pinterest board I sent over and I think the price is great, I just didn't like the No-Ass-At-All look it gave me. Bad case of Mom Butt (which I battle). To check out a similar pantsuit that I think is too cute check out this Show Me Your Mumu Jumper – RETURNED
the Velvet Heart Raine Lace-Up Shirt in size Small at $75 with AG Prima Cigarette Pants in size 25 in Cold Blue Porcelain at $178 making the outfit total $253 which is a little too high for a girl with a limited budget. I liked the top but found a similar top at my girlfriends boutique Magnolia Mey for $25 and I LOVED the pants but I have over 40 pairs of pants just like these and couldn't justify the cost but do recommend them if you need a great skinny, get the Cigarette Pants Here. PLUS this isn't a date night/chic night out outfit which is what I have my dollars allotted for. – RETURNED
Front Door Fashion Spring Box Review
the Show Me Your Mum Jade Blouse in size Small in Country Rose at $58 (that I love). With the Level 99 Tanya High Rise Skinny Jean in size 25 in the color Mission at $119 making the outfit total $177 which isn't bad really except I asked for going out clothes, not everyday clothes AND I literally already own these pants. I did however fall in love with the top and I did keep it, you can find a similar top here. – TOP KEPT & PANTS RETURNED
the Michael Stars Cold Shoulder Tee in size One Size fits All in color Olive Moss at $78. The same pants as above plus the BTB Jewelry Clover Double Necklace (see similar option under $25 here) at $97 makes the outfit total $294 which is a little high for jeans and a t-shirt. So confession, I hate cold shoulder anything. I have that noted on my Pinterest board. It just isn't my trend. I also wear the same jewelry almost every single day. Gorgeous and meaning filled pieces that I just love. – RETURNED
the Amanda Uprichard – Landon Cold Shoulder Top (see similar cold shoulder top here) in Hot Pink in size XSmall at $141 with the same pants. Kinda same old things mentioned above, hate cold shoulder, already have the jeans, price too high, etc – RETURNED
Front Door Fashion Spring Box Review
the Ecru Perfect Basic Top in size Small in Alabaster at $164 with the James Jeans Twiggy Skinny Jean in size 26 in Fairy at $163 and the 2nd photo has the Veronica M Striped Kimono (see similar kimono here) in size One Size Fits All in Graham at $55 making the outfit total $382 which is too much for another daytime outfit. Loved the top & jeans as they fit great but were too expensive, especially the shirt, here is a similar option $100 cheaper! Basic Top & Twiggy Jeans – RETURNED but I kept the layering Kimono – KEPT
And my last outfit is the same pant as above but with the Articles of Society Betty Boyfriend Shirt in size Small in Lang at $59. If I didn't already own this top I would have bought it, way cute and comfy. – RETURNED (see a similar shirt under $25 here)
What I didn't show were 2 of the Maxi Dresses they sent because there were just Yuck and insanely expensive. I also didn't show the outfits from the grouping titled Wild side because it included a pair of shorts, a terrible draped halter top, these goofy looking pants and another top.
This months box is disappointing. If you have watched or read my unboxings in the past you know I LOVE me some Front Door Fashion but this one just didn't line out. I kept 2 items with a total of $113. Will I try them again? Yes, I just think I will wait a couple of months so I can do so with a fresh mind.
Note – If you aren't on a budget, or your budget can accommodate a $150 average then I do recommend FDF.
