CrateChef Review – Jason Dady
CrateChef is a Gourmet Kitchen subscription box! Each box is curated by a top-name chef and it includes a selection of local food products, useful kitchen items, selected recipes, and a letter from the chef. My box was created by a very familiar chef in the San Antonio area Chef Jason Dady! In my box came the Marcona Almonds, the Gochujang Brown Rice Red Pepper Paste, Cuisine Perl Blood Orange Vinegar, Talkin' Texas Trash mix, Kewpie Mayonnaise, the Microplane zester and the Kuhn Rikon Swiss Peeler.
So honest 1st opinion…What in the heck do I do with all this? I am a terrible, wanna-be chef so I think this box is a bit of a stretch for me personally. (Make sure to read about my 2nd box below, I LOVED that one). I have not heard of 3/4th of these items. Luckily, there is a content break-out sheet that explains everything. Plus it includes 3 recipes: Market Salas with Burrata, Pimento Cheese, and Gochujang Chile Past-Soy Marinated Short Ribs with Sesame. This makes me so happy! Y'all, this box makes the perfect Christmas gift for the chef in your life! I highly recommend it for someone who enjoys the kitchen or what to get a cook who has everything!
CrateChef Kent Rathburn Review
My 2nd box was created by a very familiar name in our household – Chef Kent Rathbun, a Dallas chef. In my box came the Chroma Type 301 Paring knife, Kent Rathbun Elements Steak & Chop Garlic salt, Ken Rathbun Elements Family Barbecue rub, Kukuruza Salted Caramel Popcorn, Falksalt Crystal Flakes Natural sea salt, and Larry's Bag of Smoke. I immediately dove into the popcorn and it is SO GOOD!!!! The paring knife is awesome, I feel so fancy using it. I haven't been able to try the rest out yet but I can't wait to. I received 3 recipes to cook with and I can't wait! This box has over $90 of product in it for only $49, all curated by CrateChef Kent Rathburn Review. This makes such a good gift for a chef.
These are the 1st two boxes I received and I loved one and was kinda lost with the other, however, I struggle in the kitchen as a whole so. If you want to expand your cooking skills! If you already are a chef or looking for a good gift for a chef! Maybe you are shopping for what to get a cook who has everything? Or if you know someone who fits the bill, this box is a unique gift idea and a great value. I really do recommend it (especially as a gift)! And thank you for reading my CrateChef Review.
