Motivation for Mompreneurs
However I did start listening with hopes of being encouraged. Hopes that I am not crazy and this whirlwind life is ok. Christy is a Jesus loving, mom of boys, business genius who spends her days education and encouraging and let’s be real…What mom couldn’t use a little encouragement?! So I dove into Episode 47: Finding Success in Business and Motherhood and I am 1/4th the way in AND I AM IN LOVE!!!!- Here are some of the tips she shares and things I want you to know! YOU CAN’T DO IT ALL! Yep, I said it, ladies we can not do it all so it is important that you pick the things you want to do well and focus on those things alone. Things that Christy does that I also do and highly recommend is outsourcing and cutting. For example: Neither one of us wash our hair every day. Christy is a dry shampoo lover and I’m all about optimizing the classic bun or a top knot. Honestly, I wash my hair no more than 2 times a WEEK! Yep, you read that right. This saves me 10 hours a week to do things I love and want to do well. Other things Christy and I do: hire maids to come clean our homes twice a month and have a lawn crew to maintain the yard. This allows us to focus on what we want to do well with all of these hours saved.
- YOU ARE ENOUGH! Quit focusing on what you didn’t do or get to, there is always stuff we won’t have time to do. Focus on all the things you knocked out of the park today. Chant to yourself you are enough and you have accomplished so much. Who you are is already more than enough! Christy chants this over and over and I couldn’t agree more! God made you as you are and you are perfect for the family and business He gave you. Chant this over and over until you believe it, after all, we believe what we tell ourselves over and over. You don’t need to be an extrovert, have an MBA, etc etc You are enough! God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called!
